The Dealers in Precious Metals and Stones Registration Regime

From April 1 this year,
precious metals and stones dealers registered as Category B Registrants with Customs can conduct both cash and non-cash transactions of $120,000 or more.
Category A Registrants can only conduct non-cash transactions of $120,000 or more.
The certificates must be displayed at shops for checking.
Super: From April 1, 2023
Precious metals and stones businesses are regulated under
the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorist Financing Ordinance

≥ HK$120,000 non-cash transaction ≥ HK$120,000 cash transaction
Category A Registrant
Category B Registrant
Super: For dealers who only conduct transactions under HK$120,000, no registration is required.
