Dangerous Goods Ordinance
Cheng Sui Man:  Many daily necessities
are dangerous goods
We must use them with care
The amended Dangerous Goods Ordinance is now in effect
Super:  The amended Dangerous Goods Ordinance and its Subsidiary Legislation came into effect on March 31, 2022
Cheng Sui Man:  A licence is required for the manufacture
storage, conveyance or use of dangerous goods
and their packing, marking and labelling should comply with the law
Offenders may be prosecuted
Super:  Maximum fine of $100,000 and 6 months’ imprisonment
Cheng Sui Man:  Conditional exemptions
and a 24-month transitional period to facilitate daily use are granted
