Human Swine Flu (People eligible for HSI test)

Influenza-like illnesses are on the increase.

As a result, the Hospital Authority's Designated Flu Clinics and A&E Departments will now usually only conduct Human Swine Influenza tests on the following groups of people:

- Pregnant women;
- Children aged 12 months or below;
- Health care workers, including staff of Residential Homes;
- Residents of Residential Homes without an outbreak; and
- Patients with a persistent fever of over 38˚C, or worsening influenza-like symptoms 48 hours after treatment.
