Prevention of Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome

Mr. Dwatmaji Hanomanresi
Consul / Information Affairs
Indonesian Consulate General Office

(English Translation)
SARS can be transmitted by respiratory droplet, so it is important to cover your nose and mouth with a handkerchief when you cough or sneeze.
If you need to spit, use a tissue and discard it in a bin with a lid.
You can protect yourself and others by washing your hands often with liquid soap and drying them with a disposable towel.
Wash your hands before touching your eyes, nose or mouth,
after touching surfaces in public areas, or after arriving in office or at home.
To keep your home hygienic, clean it daily with a solution
made up by mixing one part of household bleach with 99 parts of water then rinse with water.
Remember, good personal and environmental hygiene help to prevent SARS.
